The SOGO Olla is a porous terracotta jar. This model has been used for centuries as a smart way of irrigation. The Olla is buried up to the neck in the soil between the plants and filled with water once or twice a week (depending on drought, temperature and water needs of the plant). The plant roots will grow towards the pot and withdraw water from the pot. Because the pitcher is porous, it slowly releases water into the soil around it when dry. If the soil is moist, the water will remain in it. This way you create a constantly moist environment and plants can continue to grow evenly. The water jug can be closed with a cap, which prevents evaporation and saves you 50% to 70% on your water consumption. The water is also not polluted and mosquitoes, for example, cannot reach it to lay their eggs. The Olla is ideal for use in flower boxes,

vegetable gardens and greenhouses. The best time to place an Olla is planting time. This way, the roots of the plants can develop optimally in the direction of the Olla. One Olla waters the plants that are about half a square meter around it. We recommend removing the Olla from the ground before the first frost and storing it dry and frost-free.
