The SOGO Olla is a porous terracotta jar. This model has been used for centuries as a smart way of irrigation. The Olla is buried up to the neck in the soil between the plants and filled with water once or twice a week (depending on drought, temperature and water needs of the plant). The plant roots will grow towards the pot and withdraw water from the pot. Because the pitcher is porous, it slowly releases water into the soil around it when dry.
